Take Better Family Photos: Earn an Online Photography Degree

Do you love to take family photos? If you are a parent or grandparent, chances are you do. Have you ever wanted to learn more about photography but you don’t know how? Thanks to technology, you can now learn the tools and techniques of professional photography from home by taking an online course.  You can even earn a photography degree from home!

Finding the right online school or university can be confusing and overwhelming. However, there is a new online resource (http://photographydegrees.org/) that simplifies this process; it even uses a statistical ranking method to list the top online photography degree schools in the nation.  The site breaks down by state the colleges and universities that offer online photography degrees; making it very easy to see if schools near you offer the program. You can refine your search even further to see if a school offers both online and onsite courses.

What makes this resource even more useful is that you can also search for other types of Art and Design degrees; including graphic design, interior design, fashion design…even cosmetology. So, if you have another passion in life that you would like to pursue, this website can help you achieve a degree and turn that hobby into a career!

Once you have found a school that interests you, just click on the appropriate link and you will be taken to a “request information” form. Your information is immediately sent to the school’s admission department. The school will then send you more information about their program and how you can start earning your degree as soon as possible. It’s that simple.

Even if you don’t want to earn a degree in photography, you can still take single classes to learn the basics of the subject and become a better family photographer. The possibilities are endless with online classes. However, if you have been planning to turn your photography hobby into a career, it is very
important to earn a degree in photography. By earning an online degree you will create a network of
peers and mentors, earn the chance to display your work for others to see, learn and test yourself on all
concepts in photography and work to create a portfolio of professional photos. Enrolling in an online or
conventional photography degree program is the best decision you can make if you want to become a
professional photographer. Visit the site today and find out what programs are offered at schools near
you!

Float the River for an Adult Night-Away!

Need an idea to do with your spouse for the day or for an overnight trip?  Head to Leavenworth, WA and go float the river!  We just did this trip last weekend and it was so nice to get a kid break and have fun!  The sun felt great and yes you can bring a case of beer and rent an ice chest and tube to tag along with you.  Don't forget your green grapes to eat down the river as you float.  So tasty!  Afterwards there's a beer garden to enjoy where you just checked in for tubing and karaoke at the Old Post Office Tavern playing until past midnight.  We usually enjoy wine tasting in Leavenworth but this past weekend we enjoyed sampling the beers!

Reserve your Tube today at:

Lets Go Tubing!
 -> Float the Icicle River then into the Wenatchee River for an 1hr 45minute trip
Adults $17 & extra cooler/tube is $10 - Children can come for $13

Need a Date Night Idea? Try the Cinebarre!

Have you ever been able to drink a pitcher of beer, chat with your husband/wife, and then relax as you watch a movie from the same seat in a movie theater?  One of our favorite date nights is to go have a pitcher of beer and pizza while we watch a newly released film at the Cinebarre.  If you're limited on hours for your date night due to babysitting fees or just want to try something new, give your local Cinebarre a chance.  We enjoy relaxing in our same seat as we chat before the show begins and then get to watch a movie.  At the Cinebarre you can order food throughout the show and the waiter comes right up to your seat (well if the movie is playing they duck as they scoot down the aisles).  Its GREAT food, GREAT service, and a GREAT movie!  The best part is since you can have an 'adult bevereage' you must be 21+ to watch the movie so you're surrounded by other (quiet) adults.  Its a fun outing!!!

If you live in the area, check-out the cinebarre in Mountlake Terrace.

Cinebarre - Mountlake
6009 244th St. SW
Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043
Open 365 days/year!
$5 Movie Tuesdays (anytime)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q: How does it work?
A: Once inside the theater you choose your seat(s). Each row of seats has a table in front of it. Menus, order cards and pencils are placed on the table. A server will come by and greet you, taking any orders you are ready to place. Future orders can be made by writing your desired choices on the piece of paper and placing in the bar attached to the table (please make sure the paper is standing straight up so the server can clearly see it). Throughout the film you can order like this.
