WOW these past TWO years have flown bye! Our baby girls who arrived in this world 6 weeks early are now full grown toddlers starting to say sentences and continuing to bring so much JOY to our lives!
This year we want to celebrate the girl's birthday a little different. Instead of receiving gifts, we're asking our friends & family to consider donating in the girl's name to one of our favorite charities, Charity:Water.

Instead of asking for gifts this year, we're asking for $2 or $20 (or more) from everyone we know. The funds will go to build freshwater projects for people in developing countries. (Yes, its Tax Deductible)
Charity: Water is a non-profit organization that brings clean & safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Our church, Eastlake Community Church, is a huge supporter of this organization and we've been apart of many fundraising campaigns. The most inspiring moments are the videos we've been able to watch for an African civilization to receive clean water for the first time and the huge SMILES on the children's faces. We want to help provide more of those moments for other developing nations.

Almost a billion people in the world are living without clean water -- but how much are they really living? Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 30,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still have to walk hours each day to get dirty water for their families.
Our birthday wish for the girls this year is to help give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion people living without it. We want to make their birthday make a difference this year.
The best part: 100% of all donations go directly toward water projects. And about 18 months after this campaign ends, charity: water will show us where and how every dollar we raised ended up helping in the field. We'll see GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities we've impacted.
Our family is super excited to host a Charity: Water campaign for the girl’s second birthday and make a difference. We’ll put keepsakes from this campaign in their scrapbooks and have a story to tell them when they get older.

You may already be familiar with this charity from Rachel Beckworth’s 9th Birthday Wish Story that has been in the news. She raised over $1 million from her story and unfortunate passing. She was an inspiration to our family and will be forever remembered.
