Yes, you read that title right! I've been delaying writing up the tips on this topic since one of our children is having this issue at nap time right now. Its a natural part of growing up to be curious and to want that foreign substance OUT of your diaper! However, the mess it makes in the crib or on the walls is just beyond disgusting for everyone! I've had friends that have called their husbands home from work to help clean up the destruction in the house since its been that bad! Lately we've had it just in the crib and with a quick bath and good wash of the bedding its cleaned-up until the next nap! One of the BEST tips I ever read about how to deal with this situation was simply to put your child in their PJ zip-up sleeper to keep those little hands away from any diaper openings. A onesie to keep hands out of the back opening simply isn't good enough for a determined child. The NEXT BEST tip I got was when your child learns to unzip themselves and you're still having issues, cut the feet off the zip sleeper and put it on backwards! We're not to that point yet but I think its a brilliant idea to avoid any more disgusting messes for us all! :)
TIPS
1. Put your kid in a zip-up sleeper for nap time & bedtime
2. Cut the feet off the sleeper & put on backwards if needed
